My creative exploration starts outside in nature. I often go out, without anything else then bags to forage earths. It is my meditation, my quiet time where I can truly listen to myself and to what wants to come through. I deeply believe that whatever we long to create is not only coming from within ourself but from something bigger then us. 

Therefor I see my art as a conversation between the invisible and my heart. When it is time to transform the earth into a painting it feels like I am searching for the story of the material. I try to find a way to bring form to what the earth carries in her memory. Because what is earth made of? It is a collection of plants, animals and humans, living and dying on her, over thousands of years.
