the moment between the physical and the spiritual world. the never ending dance of our soul and body finding the right balance. 
 
I was wilde awake in the middle of the night. my best friends mother was hospitalized two days before that - she had a stroke out of the blue and all of the sudden her spirit was no longer in her body. she was hovering in the in-between. not wanting to leave her children behind, knowing that it was her was to step over the threshold. I woke up knowing that I was needed there, holding the space. so I sat down and stated painting. she emerged before my eyes, clear, bold. this painting was done after one session (normally it takes me some weeks to journey with a painting). moments like that show me why I sit with my demons, why I try to widen my capacity to be present, so that when it is needed I can stand there, with the fear, the disbelieve, the power of such a moment.
